That Jc deserves the least
Results of History Seminar
1st) MJC
2nd) CJC
3rd) RJC
We lost. We didn't manage to get into the top 3. Frankly i'm very shocked. Even if we didn't manage to clinch first prize, i expected like second or third position. But no ! Didn't gain any recognition. You might think why i was so confident, that's because i believed in our script, our history seminar members and we always had Mr Gay who would devote all his time just to help us. Everything seem to be going on the right track. We passed through auditions successfully and we gave our best today.
Were we over confident?
I'm sure many would agree that the results are very very shocking. To me, a further disappointment. I can't seem to comprehend. In what ways did we lose out to that particular jc. *GROWLS* I'm fuming mad that they managed to get top 3 just by bombarding facts after facts after facts. Then why did the judges allocate majority of the marks to creativity yet award the prize to a team that showed little or even no sign of creativity at all. I seriously need someone to explain.
Their role play is so cliche. Everyone answered the question through the role play just like them, some performed even better yet they too went home disappointed. Everyone had their hopes high and we believed that our hard work would pay off. I know many would now view me as a sore loser but i feel unjustified losing to an unworthy opponent. You can call me a sore loser, i don't care anymore. The Jc doesn't deserve a spot in the top 3 position. Definitely not the top 3 position. We tried to find reasons to explain their victory. Our verdict was ultimately "How could they have won?" They might have the content but it was put across to the audience unconvincingly. I repeat, their method is so cliche ! Any other jc could have done it the same way. All you have to do is to flip through any history textbook and read out the facts. Re-enact the historical event in a monotonous, boring, uncaptivating method. That jc simply didn't leave an impression.
I wonder what's going through the judges' mind. I can't wait to read their report !
I officially dislike that jc. Nothing is impressive about that jc. Nothing.
However i must say Kudos to Cjc. Their role play was fantastic and i would say one of the best. They deserve more than a 2nd spot =D
On a positive note, History seminar has brought a group of us together and we had lots of fun. Zhiwei, JingQin, Wee Keat, Fatin, Amie and Shalina..thanks for everything. It has been great preparing for the history seminar together. A Huge thank you to Mr Gay for all the treats and encouraging words :))
