Some interesting stuff that happens during AO maths lecture with Mr Tan aka Mr T =D
A Short note: Mr Tan is the Hod of maths in tpjc..
Mr Tan on conjugate surds:
" If you know the rule, you will know straight away that its a x b but if you want to show off, * points at transparency* Aaaa..how to show off ar ? "
A conversation Hairianto ( classmate of mine ) had with Mr tan when he couldn't solve a question..
Hairianto and his multiplication : 4 x 5 = 45
Mr Tan: ya ya *ponders for awhile*
Mr Tan: Aiya, 4 x 5 = 20, what 45
Hairianto: Oh yah, its 4 x 5 = 20, we can all be great mathematician next time
Mr Tan: Haiyo, i also follow you, 4 x 5 = 45 (-_-")
Now once again Mr Tan on exams
" Exam is the time to show off,. After exam, there's no time to show off."
Comments by me: hmm..now we know..show off during exams kay haha
Lastly Mr Tan on the rule of indices ( M to the power of 2 times M to the power of of 3 = m to the power of 5 )
"2 to the power of 2 multiply by 3 to the power of 2 is not 6 to the power of 2 okay. One cat, one dog, how to multiply ? "
